Common problems
Information isn’t loading
Quit Bit Buddy and open it again.
If SD cards are missing from your device list, check whether SD Card Pool is on in Settings. While it’s on, SD cards live in the Pool instead of the main list.
To edit a saved device, open it and tap Edit in the upper-right corner.
iCloud Sync isn’t updating
Make sure both devices use the same Apple Account. Open Bit Buddy on each one and give it a moment to finish syncing. Private fields may not sync identically, depending on your visibility settings.
Changing the appearance or app icon
Tap “Bit Buddy” at the top of the Dashboard, then choose Appearance.
If an alternate icon doesn’t update, restart your device. This is a known iOS issue.
Face ID or Touch ID isn’t working
In Bit Buddy’s Settings tab, turn biometrics off and on again. Then confirm Bit Buddy has permission in iOS Settings under Bit Buddy, then Face ID or Touch ID.
Using Secure Wipe
Secure Wipe removes all local data. After confirming, quit the app and open it again; everything will be erased.
With iCloud Sync on, Secure Wipe only affects the current device. To remove data everywhere, turn off iCloud Sync first, then wipe each device.
Planning to delete the app? Run Secure Wipe first so no data stays on your device.
