Help

Fixes for common problems with unlocking, syncing, importing, and backups.

Common problems

Face ID or Touch ID isn’t unlocking Cribbo
  1. Close Cribbo and open it again.
  2. In Cribbo’s settings, turn the biometric lock off and on.
  3. In iOS Settings, confirm Cribbo has Face ID or Touch ID permission.
iCloud Sync isn’t updating between devices
  1. Confirm both devices use the same Apple Account and iCloud.
  2. Check that iCloud Sync is on inside Cribbo on each device.
  3. Open Cribbo on both devices and keep it open for a moment so syncing can finish.

Private fields stay protected and may look different depending on your visibility settings.

HomeKit import didn’t bring in setup codes

That’s expected. Apple Home shares device details with other apps, but not the original setup codes, so you’ll need to add each code yourself.

Device identification isn’t available

Identification only appears for compatible accessories, and the accessory needs to be reachable in your current Home.

An import or backup restore failed
  1. Make sure you chose a Cribbo export or backup file.
  2. Double-check the passphrase for encrypted backups.
  3. Close and reopen Cribbo, then try again.
