Common Troubleshooting

Face ID or Touch ID is not unlocking Cribbo

  1. Close and reopen Cribbo.
  2. In Cribbo settings, turn biometric lock off and on again.
  3. In iOS Settings, verify Cribbo has Face ID or Touch ID permission enabled.

iCloud Sync is not updating between devices

  1. Confirm both devices use the same Apple ID and iCloud account.
  2. Check that iCloud Sync is enabled inside Cribbo on each device.
  3. Open Cribbo on both devices and keep the app open for a moment to allow sync to complete.

Setup code private fields remain protected and may not appear exactly the same depending on your visibility settings.

HomeKit import worked, but setup codes are missing

This is expected behavior. HomeKit import brings in device metadata only. Apple Home does not provide original setup codes to third-party apps, so codes must be added manually.

Device identification tools are unavailable

Identification actions only appear for compatible accessories and require that the accessory is reachable in your current Home setup.

Import or encrypted backup restore failed

  1. Confirm you selected a Cribbo export or backup file.
  2. Double-check your passphrase for encrypted backups.
  3. Retry after closing and reopening the app.
